From PBenjay:
I thought my house guest would enjoy an evening stroll along the boardwalk; the night air was pleasant and she admired our new boards. But then the assault of bike riders began…one, two at a time, some speeding by oblivious to pedestrians and certainly not hearing me yell “there are no bikes on the boardwalk”! We cut our walk short, it was really unpleasant having to keep an eye out for the rule-breakers. I guess they can’t read, and there seemed to be no authority to enforce the regulations, otherwise the lady with the little white dog wouldn’t have been there either.
Editor’s note: No bikers from 10 am to 3 am. Check these links below; also use the search box on top to find other posts on this topic. Type in “bicycles on the boardwalk”
I was watering the urns yesterday on the Boardwalk. As I turned to step away, a biker, going at a fast clip, missed me by inches. Yes, it was before 10 am, but I felt it was chaotic with walkers and bikers. This early time of the morning, the Boardwalk was already crowded with families going to the beach, and many little children. Hope no one gets hurt.
