The Del Ponte Creamery and Café just opened one week ago. It is next to Del Ponte’s Italian Bakery across from the Bradley Beach train station.
Because I am forever searching for a convincing cup of coffee around here, that is what I tried first, and their coffee was amazing.
The last time I had such good coffee was at the French café in Ft. Myers, Florida, or else in Italy. (Not little Italy, but big Italy–in Tuscany.)
The place is spotless and beautifully set up, with a selection of gelatos which is the best I have seen outside of Île Saint-Louis in Paris.
The menu contains a tempting array of desserts, but this time I tried only the coffee.
My preference today was to take my coffee and go next door to Del Ponte’s Bakery for one of their remarkable cinnamon raisin buns with icing on top—none better, but get there early for that item. They are big, so I bought one and brought half home to Eileen.
The creamery does not sell baked goods. We must try the gelato.
If you love coffee, go there just for that.
