On August 1 at 7:30 pm, the Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association will present “Grand Orchestra Finale” to conclude this season’s Summer Stars series.
Celebrating their 46th anniversaries in residence in Ocean Grove, tenor Ronald Naldi and organist Gordon Turk will each perform with the superb MidAtlantic Symphony Orchestra, Jason Tramm conducting.
This is the biggest bargain ever in the history of first rate classical music in this part of the world! The program will knock your socks off if you wear any.
The highlights of the program are:
–Festival Prelude by Composer David Winkler. this is a WORLD PREMIERE for this NYC-based composer who was so impressed with the Auditorium organ and the combination of organ and orchestra in the Great Auditorium, that he composed this new piece to premiere in Ocean Grove.
–Concerto for Organ, Harp and Strings –Howard Hanson, Composer.
–“Flower song” (from Carmen) and other songs by composer Georges Bizet. Ronald Naldi will perform this piece accompanied by the MidAtlantic Symphony Orchestra.
–Symphony No 3 by Camille Saint-Saens.

A TASTE OF CARMEN: Andre Kostelanetz and the New York Philharmonic with Flower Songs from Carmen (instrumental)
Editor’s Note: If you know a young person who is into music in school, buy him/her a ticket and bring him to the Great Auditorium for this concert. It will be about 1 1/2 hours—tolerable for a kid, and he will never forget this musical, historic, and visual experience. —PG
