A. Park has been on a money trail in recent years. And today it continues to climb the ladder of affluence. The developers promise to also pay attention to “the other side of Asbury Park,” but will they? We do see some signs of life in that regard including the restoration of historic buildings on Cookman Avenue and signs of life on Main Street.
They also are paying attention to the underprivileged such as the homeless. Steve Valk of Ocean Grove, a social scientist, has been offering advice to the people who run the Jersey Shore Rescue Mission on Memorial Drive.
