Sand blows onto the boardwalk, All storm photos by Jean Bredin, Blogfinger staff. © January 23, 2016. Jean says, ” The sand in my face proves that this is not fake news.”
Says Jean around town: “Today’s nor’ easter is pretty intense. Walking on the Fishing Pier was challenging with gusts up to 60 mph. There was only one adventurous guy holding his own.
The phrase “Thar she blows” seemed to fit.
I was spitting out sand all the way home.”
KERMIT RUFFINS and his band of N’orleans musicians sound like they’ve been on Bourbon Street too long. But they do know something about what to do during a storm: have another “hurricane” and then pick up the tempo.
NJ.com 1/24/17: “The powerful nor’easter that hit New Jersey the past two days was very big on wind and fairly big on moisture in some counties. Several towns across the Garden State received more than 2 inches of rain as of late Tuesday morning, and some ended up with a light coating of sleet and snow.
The heaviest rain fell in Monmouth and Ocean counties, along with parts of Atlantic County.”
Of all the places to view the storm—– the end of that dangerous pier.
