Thanks Tom.
Paul Robeson used to be a singing waiter at Days. I’m not sure if it was at their venue in Asbury or OG. He performed “Old Man River” in the London debut of Show Boat.
15 years ago or so, Pegi and I had the pleasure of dining in a small, wonderful restaurant in South Philly. All of the waitstaff were opera singers and so every 20 mins someone would ring a soft bell and everyone would stop eating for a few minutes to listen to a genuine opera solo by one of the waiters or waitresses. It was truly unique and amazing dining experience. Almost like being in an actual opera except nobody died.
