By Paul @Blogfinger Re-post from 2016 .
Some people thought I was channeling Larry David with my yard waste article. One person told me not to “make a mountain out of a molehill,” but I figure that one woman’s molehill is another’s mountain, so I had to trash her condescending suggestion. Another wanted me to make better choices in “picking our battles.”
We try to stick to the issues, big or small, on Blogfinger. And besides, why would someone care if another person is concerned about something which she views as small potatoes? Just move on to the next Pulitzer Prize-winning post on Blogfinger.
And, by the way, our article about #60 Main Avenue was featured in last week’s New Jersey News Commons under “best local reporting.” They don’t seem to have a problem with our reporting a small town’s molehills.
Very witty of you…and I love the Larry David video. It’s funny how the guy furiously yelling at Larry David for throwing garbage in his trash can – looks like he is overreacting and a knucklehead for doing so. It seems so trivial and ridiculous of him to be upset over someone tossing garbage into a receptacle that is just for that – garbage. But, it’s HIS Garbage Can AND MORE IMPORTANTLY, he now threw something away in the Can, that needs to be thrown into the Recycable Can. That action by a Stranger would cause our Trash Collectors to issue a trash schedule to us, like you had received. If strangers continue to toss their garbage in our Cans, we may be issued a warning or a fine from town. Your video shared makes the guy yelling looking like he’s making a mountain from a molehill, but it’s directly effecting him, even if it seems so minimal. Why should he be effected by a strangers action. Sounds so silly, but I would be angry for someone using my trash can as their own too. Sorry Larry David.

P.S. Congrats for the Newspaper recognition for your reporting. If people don’t like your reporting, then they can easily just not read your Blog.

Funny video. Occasionally during the summer a tourist will throw an item in my garbage can, which I don’t usually mind too much. However I don’t appreciate when someone throws their “doggy bag” of poop into my garbage can, It makes my garbage smell WAY stinkier than it was. And I’m a dog owner. For my dogs waste bags, I have a separate container that is well-sealed. I bring it out 1x/week for the garbagemen. Otherwise, it’s incognito.
