The Henry Richard Inn   at 16 Main Ave  (beach block)   has been reported sold after being on the market for several years. The Inn has a history that goes back to the 19th century.  It used to be called the Castle Arms.  Like many of the inns and hotels in town, a regular clientele exists that views their Henry Richard friends as being “like family.”   The inn has 14 bedrooms and has  been known as a friendly and comfortable place with reasonable prices.

The new owners are reported to have said  that they will continue the Inn use, but another option is to turn it into a private home like the Pine Tree Inn did in the recent past.  Another option, according to the “for sale” promotion, is that it could be turned into condos.    However, that doesn’t sound like it conforms with current rules.
