1. Neptune Chief of Police Robert Adams is scheduled to speak at the October 27 meeting of the Ocean Grove Home Owners Association. According to the HOA, Adams and his department heads “will provide an overview of police operations and procedures, and actions taken and to be taken in response to recent events.” Given the recent spate of thefts and other property crimes in Ocean Grove, this even should draw a healthy crowd. The meeting is at 10 a.m. in the Community Room on Pilgrim Pathway. Everyone is welcome and free to ask questions of the speakers. Also on the agenda are candidates for Neptune Township Committee and for Neptune county clerk.
2. Neptune Township’s municipal offices will be closed on Monday, October 8, in observance of Columbus Day.
