DJ Mick Hale is the guy who can get YOU up to dance. Even if you only waltz, you can just do it a little faster.

Mick Hale is a well-known Ocean Grove musician and DJ who will be featured at the grand opening “Disco Ice Cream” party on Sunday, May 27, starting at 8 p.m. The new Asbury Park ice cream parlor is called “Just Another Days” and it is located on the boardwalk in the First Avenue Pavilion, just south of the Casino and next to Stella Marina (You may remember her from “Streetcar Named Desire”)
Mick, will be spinning classic Dance Pop from Retro to Electro. Blogfinger will be there to photograph the event. It would be great if Grovers were to turn out to show support for this long time OG institution branching out to Asbury.
Mick is also appearing live on Saturday May 26 at The Saint in AP at 10 pm. He is doing an “Alternative 80’s” nite over there. Otherwise you might see him performing live in his daytime gig, working for Uncle Sam out of the OG Postoffice—moonwalking his way to your mailbox.
We also will be posting a feature article in two days by Mary Walton looking at the history of Days Ice Cream and at its latest reincarnation. So don’t miss any of this, even if you are still a bit shaky after Bamboozle. What’s better than sex?—-It’s Days ice cream topped off with some electro music with dancing, the ocean, the stars, whipped cream, and hot fudge! Wow! (Oh? She called? OK, maybe it’s almost as good.)
MUSIC: In case you never heard electro music (which we play in our house all the time), here’s Dino Jag with an uplifting ditty: “Play Tha Funky Music till Ya Die.”
I have a song title for Mick to work on, “Night at Days, Mick is the One.”
