ATTENTION YARD SAILORS: WELCOME TO THE GOOD SHIP “BLOGFINGER:”
Contact: Blogfinger@verizon.net
We will maintain a list of participants on this page. To join the list, just send us an email to Blogfinger@verizon.net. Tell us your name and address plus the nearest cross street. The list will be organized by streets and/or neighborhoods so that nearby sales will be grouped together.
The list can be copied so that visitors can find their way around. They can find us on line at Blogfinger.net where they can click on the Yard Sale page on top.
The weekend of June 18 will be busy in town due to the Giant Craft Show sponsored by the CMA It is the Father’s Day weekend, so invite Dad to walk around and visit the sales and to socialize with Grovers around town.
We will advertise in the Coaster and the Asbury Park Press. Those viewing the ads will be advised to go to Blogfinger.net to see our list. Please help us publicize the event around town.
After June 10, participants can begin sending us their list of sale items.
Yard sailors can sign up by email (Blogfinger@verizon.net) up to June 17, and they can add to their sale lists in dribs and drabs, all at once, or one drip or drab at a time.
If any of you want to post some fliers, just let me know and I will drop them at your house. Tell me know how many you need. Putting one up on our house is OK.
You will need a permit from the Municipal Bldg. Just go to the Code department (building). Tell them you are with the Town-Wide sale. You can also do it online to Neptunetownship.org. They are $5.00.
The permit is for 3 consecutive days so you can extend your sale to Sunday or just have it on Sunday. We will list it that way if you wish. Sunday can also be a rain date, although we are listing the following Saturday (June 25 for that,) but you will need another permit. I spoke to them, and they did not say anything about Sundays. It’s time we Grovers stop being shy about Sundays for events.
If it rains, let us know when and if you want to reschedule. We will announce a cancellation for a torrential storm, but not for light or intermittent rains.
