Although we do focus on Ocean Grove, we also write about other subjects including music, photography and medicine. You might be bored by certain topics that get Grovers excited, like head-on parking, which is not a reference to the Kama Sutra, but we try keep our promise to be eclectic in our subject matter.
All comments and emails are subject to editing, but mostly that has to do with punctuation, etc. We do reserve the right not to publish objectionable material.

At 6:06 am on Memorial Day, I awoke to see what might be happening with all the fire sirens. As I looked across the park, a police car blazed eastward on Main Avenue. The next thing I saw—and almost equally unnerving—was Blogfinger peddling furiously through the park on his bicycle, heavy “media bag” in tow across his back. I thought this guy was retired! Such is the dedication of Blogfinger!
Barely two and a half hours later, I received an anxious and excited phone call from my better half, Karen Carroll, who is working in Europe, 4000 miles away. Karen had already received and digested the Blogfinger photos and report about the fire on Pitman Avenue. Such is the amazing SPEED and REACH of Blogfinger!
Ted Turner, watch out! Rupert Murdoch, en garde! Blogfinger is coming!
Love this site!
…. delighted to find such an informative and social site for OG and AP.
We are relatively new in OG and learning the ins and outs…
The author must have tied one on before making such a comment about Thailand being a good place to buy ties…but if truth be told, I never get tie-erd of his sense of humor
Hi, I’m new to OG and have really enjoyed the community thus far (6 months). I also really appreciate the pet friendly environment and the respectful nature of the pet owners in picking up after themselves. It keeps our open spaces useable for everyone. I have thoroughly enjoyed taking my black lab Caymus, for her daily walks especially on the beach. I haven’t broken it to her yet that those come to a screeching halt here soon. Has there been any forward movement on the “OG Dog Beach” initiative that Cindy (pet boutique) is involved in? If there are opportunities to assist in that endeavor in any way, or if and when public support is required, I would like to help. My hope is that I can get information updates from this blog spot. Thanks much for keeping us all “In-the Loop.”

The owner of that tract of land is not interested in selling that property. Unlike Asbury Park, we do not use eminent domain to acquire property unless there is a true public purpose, such as a road or school. There are quite a few parks in Ocean Grove, some of them purchased via Green Acres, including some beach property, making it difficult to justify another Green Acres application for purchase. If folks would like to put their own money together to negotiate a purchase of this tract of land, they are free to do so, but the owners have told the township they are not interested in selling. Sorry.
