We call this series of articles “Ocean Grove Jewels” because it reminds us of a jewelry store where something special sits in the case, unnoticed among the other selections. But then, the jeweler takes Cinderella and places it on the counter under some unusually bright lights and then….a jewel gets your attention.
The streets of Ocean Grove are populated by one special house after another. They don’t have to be the most expensive or the most beautiful. What they do require to appear on Blogfinger is that something special which is welcoming and pleasing to the eye, that suggests home and comfort, and which brings to mind another time — in this case the golden Victorian era which we celebrate in this town. – Paul Goldfinger
