Saturday was wonderful.

First, we had the Harvest Fest on Main Avenue, which was a craft show with live music, good outdoor food and lots of people out to grab a piece of the day’s spectacular fall weather.

Then Ocean Grove’s evil twin to the north, Asbury Park, outdid us (in my opinion) by putting on another of the giant street parties it is coming to be known for. This time it was the annual pre-Halloween Zombie Walk. The promoters were predicting that 15,000 people would turn out.

Here is a video that juxtaposes those two events and shows that our towns march to different yet somehow complementary drummers.
