Work resumes this week on the Broadway drainage project.
It begins on Monday, according to township director of engineering Leanne Hoffmann, with improvements at the intersection of Beach Avenue and Broadway. Added work will also be done on the gutter line on the north side of Broadway east of Beach.
Once that is done, the contractor will install new inlets on the north side of the Central and Broadway intersection and reconfigure the structure that connects the drainage on the north side of Broadway to the new outfall pipes to Fletcher Lake.
Sections for a new box culvert will start to be delivered late next week, Hoffmann says. Once all those sections have arrived, the Central-Broadway intersection will be excavated, the old culvert will be removed and the new one will be installed.
