   Parade sucked!
   Where were the Mummer dancers?
   Where were the “funny” cars?
   Where was the Banjo band?
   Where was the Neptune High School Band?
   Are we really interested in fire engines from Ramsey?

   While I enjoyed the parade, I too missed the funny car and some other stuff. This year’s parade seemed much shorter than last year’s. Did anyone time it?

   The biggest disappointment was the lack of some really good marching bands. Without traditional bands playing Sousa, a parade can never be great. Bagpipes, glockenspiels, and kazoos are fine, but they just aren’t enough.

   Those girls from NYC’s Mother Cabrini High School are top notch.
