Music from the Movies. “The Aviator”

June 24, 2012 by Blogfinger

“The Aviator” made its debut in 2004. Martin Scorsese directed, and Leonardo Dicaprio played Howard Hughes. The soundtrack contained music from the past including “After You’ve Gone.” The vocalist is Loudon Wainwright III (b. 1946), an American actor, composer and singer. It’s a nostalgic song written in 1918.   Vince Giordano and The Nighthawks provide the period background like they do in “Boardwalk Empire.”   —PG
